Keppra Solution is a prescription medication that is used to treat seizures including myoclonic seizures, tonic-clonic seizures, partial-onset seizures, and epilepsy. Keppra solution contains the anticonvulsant drug levetiracetam and works by decreasing the number of seizures that occur.

• Use the measuring device provided to carefully measure the correct dose. Do not use a household spoon to measure.
• This medication can be taken with or without food and is typically taken twice a day.
• Keppra Solution should be taken orally.
• Keppra is most effective when taken regularly. Try to take this medication at the same time every day.
• Speak to your doctor if your condition persists or worsens.
• Wear a medical tag or carry an ID card stating that you take seizure medication.

Tell your doctor and pharmacist:

Common side effects of Keppra Solution include but are not limited to:

• Infections.
• Dizziness.
• Drowsiness or tiredness.
• Weakness.
• Loss of appetite.
• Stuffy nose.

Get medical help if you have any of the following side effects of levetiracetam:

• New or worsening mood or behavior changes. This includes anxiety, depression, panic attacks, agitation, being more talkative, unusual risk-taking, hyperactivity, sleeping problems, irritation, hostility, or suicidal thoughts or actions.
• Any rash.
• Easier bruising or bleeding.
• Movement Problems.
• Walking problems.
• Loss of balance or coordination.
• Severe weakness, tiredness, or drowsiness.
• Confusion or hallucinations.
• Signs of infection including fever, chills, or weakness.
• Signs of a severe skin reaction such as skin pain, fever, a red or purple skin rash that spreads, peels and blisters; sore throat, or burning in your eyes.
• Symptoms of an allergic reaction such as difficulty breathing, hives, or swelling in your face, lips, or throat.

What should I do if I miss a dose of Keppra Solution?

If you miss a dose of Keppra Solution, you should take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip your missed dose.
