Muro 128 Eye Ointment reduces swelling of the cornea caused by surgery, infection, trauma, or other eye conditions.

Follow the instructions on the medicine label. To use Muro 128 eye ointment:

• Hold the tube tip close to your eye with the other hand.
• Avoid touching the tip of the tube to your eye or finger.
• Squeeze a small amount (1/4 inch) of ointment into the pocket between your lower lid and eyeball. Close your eyes for 1 to 2 minutes.
• Wipe the tip with a clean tissue and close the tube tightly. Keep the tube tightly closed when you are not using it.

Before using Muro 128 eye ointment, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.

Before using this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history, especially for: other eye problems.

After you apply this product, your vision may become temporarily blurred. Only drive, use machinery or do any activity requiring clear vision once you can safely perform such activities.

This product is safe to use during pregnancy.

It is not known whether this drug passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breastfeeding.

Get emergency medical help if you have signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

Muro 128 eye ointment may cause serious side effects. Stop using Muro 128  and call your doctor at once if you have the following:

• eye pain;
• severe or ongoing eye redness or irritation;
• vision changes; or
• worsening of your eye condition.

Common side effects of Muro 128 eye ointment may include:

• Mild burning or irritation in your eyes.

Why is Muro 128 Eye Ointment prescribed?

Muro 128 Eye Ointment draws water out of a swollen cornea. The extra water in the cornea can cause your vision to be poor. You may also see halos or rings around point light sources. The cornea is the clear cover over the colored part of your eye.

What are the precautions while using Muro-128 Eye Ointment?

Do not touch the tip of the ointment tube, and do not place the tip directly on your eye. A contaminated tip can infect your eye, leading to serious vision problems. Call your doctor if your symptoms do not improve within 72 hours.

Do not use the ointment if it has particles in it.
