Mysoline is a prescription medication that is used to control seizures. Mysoline contains the anticonvulsant drug primidone and works by controlling abnormal electrical activity in the brain. Mysoline may be taken alone or alongside other seizure medications.

Common side effects of Mysoline include but are not limited to:

• Nausea or vomiting.
• Dizziness or a spinning sensation.
• Balance or muscle movement problems.
• Loss of appetite.
• Sexual problems or impotence.
• Blurred vision.
• Rash.
• Tiredness or drowsiness.
• Irritation.

Get medical help if you have any of the following side effects of primidone:

• Mood or behavior changes including hyperactivity, agitation, hostility, depression, anxiety, restlessness, or thoughts about self-harm or suicide.
• Unusual thoughts or behavior.
• Easy bruising or bleeding.
• Fever or chills.
• Sore throat.
• Balance or coordination problems.
• Pale skin.
• Symptoms of an allergic reaction such as difficulty breathing, hives or swelling in your face, lips, or throat.

What should I do if I miss a dose of Mysoline?

If you miss a dose of Mysoline, you should take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip your missed dose.

What is the strength of Mysoline?

Both Mysoline and the generic alternative primidone are available in a strength of 250mg.
