Prometrium contains progesterone which is similar to the female hormone progesterone which is naturally made by your body. Prometrium is given when your body does not make enough progesterone to cause menstrual periods in women yet to reach menopause. What should I do if I miss a dose of Prometrium?

If you miss a dose of Prometrium, you should take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip your missed dose.
