Zebeta is a prescription medication that is used to treat high blood pressure. Zebeta contains the beta-blocker medication bisoprolol and works by blocking the action of natural chemicals in your body in order to lower your heart rate and blood pressure. Zebeta may be prescribed alone or alongside other blood pressure medications.

• Cold symptoms including cough, stuffy nose, runny nose or sore throat.
• Tiredness.
• Joint pain.
• Swelling.
• Sleep problems.

Get medical help if you have any of the following side effects of bisoprolol.

• Breathing problems including wheezing and chest tightness.
• Shortness of breath, even with mild exertion.
• Slow or pounding heart rate.
• Fluttering in the chest.
• Coldness, numbness or tingling in your hands or feet.
• Swelling or rapid weight gain.
• Feeling lightheaded or like you might pass out.
• Eye pain.
• Vision problems.
• Symptoms of an allergic reaction such as difficulty breathing, hives or swelling in your face, lips or throat.

What should I do if I miss a dose of Zebeta?

If you miss a dose of Zebeta, you should take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, then skip your missed dose.

What else is Zebeta called?

Zebeta is also known as Concor internationally. Concor is the same brand name medication with a different name internationally and is not a generic alternative medication. Generic Zebeta is called bisoprolol.
